Now that Mom is done teaching for summer vacation, Bella has been getting lots of quality time with her. We have really started to enjoy all the fun toys around the house that we have otherwise ignored. Not really sure why they've been ignored, but just lately Bella has been getting interested in everything. Making her interest in exploring the world has started to light up - and I couldn't be more thrilled! Bella recently got a new pool - just a simple small pool for the backyard. She has been less than pleased about taking baths and seems scared of bigger pools of water beyond the sink water for dishes, so I was a little apprehensive about how she'd respond to the pool. Although it took a couple of tries for her to get inside, today we put on her suit and actually sat down. She also was given a bubble machine from her Aunt Iris yesterday, which of course she loves! Bubbles are the best! Of course, I'm not too sure that the bubble machine needs to be dunked in the water. Bella also used her Daddy as a climbing object yesterday and I couldn't resist displaying that picture. So as the summer continues, we look forward to many more days of play!
Welcome to the wonderful world of Isabella Josephina Rowell, Evelyn Sue Rowell, Mommy and Daddy and our labradoodle.

Record Breaking in Texas
Who would believe that the year we come to Texas it snows? And on top of it snowing, it made a whopping 7 inches! Of course Bella and Hunter went outside to enjoy the cold temperatures, flakes falling, and the slush. Bella enjoyed picking up piles of snow and throwing them, mom enjoyed throwing snowballs at Hunter, and Hunter enjoyed playing outside. It was a good time for all!
Bella has been showing lots of growth. She said "please" for the first time this week. Before that she would just smile and giggle when I'd try to get her to say it. She's also starting in with the "I want it" phrases - boy does she say that a lot. The terrible two temper tantrums are already starting.... and she's not even two! When she's not crying on the floor or telling puppy no, she's a ball to be around. She loves piggy-back rides, cuddling, or collecting all her toys around her in an awkward spot, such as under the table or in a corner. She can be very strange sometimes!
